Notification is made in compliance with Listing Rule 9.6.14 that on 24th April 
2007, Ashmore Group plc (the "Company") was advised that Michael Benson, 
Chairman of the Board of Directors  of the Company, has been appointed,  with 
effect from 24th April 2007, an independent non-executive director of Morse plc 
("Morse"), a company listed on the London Stock Exchange.  In addition to his 
role as a non-executive director, Mr Benson has been appointed to the Audit, 
Nomination and Remuneration Committees of Morse.
